Marcia Needs a Home

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia…Just like the kids on the Brady Bunch TV show from the past, this gray feline was rescued as part of a litter of six.   So, HCWS volunteers named each kitten after one of the Brady kids: Marcia, Jan, Cindy, Greg, Peter and Bobby.

That was 5 ½ years ago and one by one all of the Brady kittens found new adopted homes.  But last year poor Marcia was returned to Heaven Can Wait because she had become a Special Needs cat.  Marcia has chronic Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) that needs monitoring.

The HCWS Cat Coordinator and Veterinary Director now have Marcia regulated very well with a special diet and daily cranberry supplements.  They report she is “doing wonderfully.”

Marcia is a sweet girl who acts like any other cat.  She just needs a little special care about what she eats and a watchful eye to observe her.

Marcia would love to find a new home with a guardian that will love her unconditionally because that is what she is willing to give back.

If you would like to meet this beautiful girl in person, please drop by the HCWS Adoption Center located inside PetSmart at 7050 Arroyo Crossing Pkwy, Las Vegas  (S. Rainbow and I-215).  The center is open Thursday and Friday afternoons from 4 to 7pm; 9am to 5pm Saturday; and 12 noon to 6pm on Sunday.

Marcia was once a family pet whose life was turned upside down.  Please help her become a companion once again.

  1. I have been trying to contact someone at the agency but to no avail … no, responce to my email and the phone system only allows me to leave a message if I have an extention number????

Some people were evicted and left their cats to starve. I am renting and already have 2 cats (am only allowed to have one) but I took one of the 4 cats, I wish I could take the other 3 but I just can’t! 2 of the 3 cats that are left are very sweet – very skinny, but sweet. I don’t know what to do – the skinniest one must have had a scrap with another cat or something and won’t come out of the bushes unless I am standing right beside it so it can eat, if I try to leave it runs back under the bushes. It is going to rain and maybe snow this weekend – I am sick over it. Can anyone help????
