Lola was found!…
Dear Heaven Can Wait Animal Society members and friends,
We urgently need your help in finding a dog named Lola who was involved in a devastating car accident on Wednesday, May 19. Lola was riding with her owner from Las Vegas to Ely when the accident occurred at Mile Marker 4.
The dog’s owner was rushed to a local hospital in Las Vegas and is in critical condition. Lola ran off after the accident and hasn’t been seen since.
We do not know if she is hurt, and her family is desperate to find her. Lola is wearing a collar and may also be wearing a leash. Lola is pictured above. She is a 50 lb. tan-colored, Shepherd mix.
Lola was rescued by HCWS several months ago and was a successful graduate of our Pups on Parole program. She was only recently adopted and was making her first trip to her new “forever” home.
If you see Lola, please contact HCWS at 702-227-5555. Please share this message with as many people as you can. We want to get Lola back to the people who love her.

I’m so sorry to hear of this happening. I hope the owner heals quickly from the accident and is able to be reunited with her new adoptee.
Where is mile marker 4? We need more specific info to send this on to others please. Send it quickly please in case this fuzzy girl is injured…

this is hwy 93, off of I 15N. Mile marker should be around the new housing development . will be out there sunday as just recieved this today.

Has anyone taken the time to fax this alert out to all of the vets and shelters in the Vegas area? I wish I could help with this but I no longer live in Vegas and am attending to a family emergency at the moment. Good Luck!

This is not good news. I will hold thumbs that this doggie is found and returned to owner. It breaks my heart to hear this kind of news.
Lola’s owner is home now and on the long road to recovery. She is so very grateful for all the prayers and actions of so many people who are concerned for Lola. We are still hoping to find Lola and we live so far from the accident site that we understand the kindness of others is the only way we will find her. Thank you all and God bless!
